Interview of Linda Walder Fiddle about services provided for teens and adults with autism through the Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation
West Bergen’s Asperger’s Related Services sponsors Camp SOAR, a day camp for children with ASD. The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation launched the SOAR CIT Training Program in 2009 and it continues today to enable teens and young adults with ASD to be trained and work as Counselors-in-Training (CITs) while mastering vocational and mentoring skills.
The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation has co-developed programs with leading service providers that offer real world job training and employment for adults. One example of a program we collaborated with was SEARCH Day Program’s Adult Activities Center that offers work experience via contracts from industry as well as off-campus employment opportunities.
