The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation’s visionary leadership in adult autism assures that there will be a global focus on cutting edge program development, research, family support, vital resources and public policy for decades to come. Primed to lead the nation on behalf of the diverse population of adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Endowment Funds, established in 2014, are located at the most prestigious universities in the United States. Each endowment fund is focused on a specific area of adult autism and is led by outstanding researchers and professionals working in the field. All of our one-of-a-kind endowment funds will exist in-perpetuity assuring a continuous impact on adult lives now and in the future.

The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Research Fund at Yale Medical School

In September 2014, Yale University’s renowned Yale University Center for Transitional Developmental Neuroscience of the Child Study Center at Yale School of Medicine and The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation launched The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Research Fund. This pioneering endeavor is the first Fund in the nation dedicated exclusively to support research projects relating to adults living with ASD. Research will be headed by leading scientist in the field of autism will focus on expanding understanding of how adults age with ASD.

The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Transition and Adult Programs at the University of Miami/NSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities

In December 2014, The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation established The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Transition and Adult Autism Programs Endowed Fund at the University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences/NSU to benefit the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities(CARD) transition and adult programs. In conjunction with the establishment of this Fund, all adult and transition services available through CARD will be aligned under the name The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Transition and Adult Programs. CARD and The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation share a joint vision of expanding replicable models and opportunities that offer an array of paths for adults diagnosed with ASD to have the best lives possible for generations to come and The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Transition and Adult Programs at CARD are poised to lead the nation in fulfilling this vision.

The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Family Support Fellowship and Resource Guide Fund at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey

On September 7, 2016, The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Fellowship and Resource Guide Fund was launched at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey School of Social Work. Each year three to four Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Fellows from the School of Social Work’s graduate programs will be named by the Dean to work as direct clinicians with family members of autistic adults and develop a web-based resource guide for families to use nationwide.

The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Theatre and Performing Arts Fund at Brown University

On September 8, 2016, The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Theater and Performing Arts Fund was established at Brown University.  This first of its kind endowment fund in the nation will support programs, education, research and provide experiential practice through Brown’s Theater Arts and Performance Studies (TAPS) Department.

The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Public Policy Fellowship Fund at Arizona State University

In October 2018, The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation established The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Public Policy Fellowship Fund at Arizona State University’s Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.  Each year, in perpetuity, a Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Public Policy Fellow will be named by the Dean of Watts College. The Fellow will be tasked with developing a national public policy agenda (named The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Public Policy Agenda) and a national public policy white paper (named The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Public Policy White Paper) relating to prevalent issues that impact the lives of the diverse population of adults diagnosed with Autism, and their families. The agenda and white paper will guide the work of the First Place AZ Global Leadership Institute at The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Center for Public Policy. The Fellow will also lead meetings of stakeholder, professionals and legislators to facilitate the creation and implementation of the agenda and white paper. The agenda and white paper will be distributed nationally and statewide to agencies, legislative bodies and policy makers whose work impacts adults diagnosed with Autism, and their families.

The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Post-Professional Doctoral Capstone Project for Direct Care Service Providers

The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Adult Autism Post-Professional Doctoral Capstone Project for Direct Care Service Providers has been established for students in the Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate (PPOTD) program at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Health Professions.The endowment will identify a Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Direct Care Service Provider Fellow selected annually by the program leadership team, from a qualified pool of Post-Professional Doctoral candidates with existing expertise in adult autism, and a professional interest in advancing the field of direct care service for the diverse population of autistic adults.
